St Dwynwen's Day, or Dydd Santes Dwynwen, is a Welsh holiday on January 25th that celebrates love and lovers. It's often called the Welsh Valentine's Day

According to legend, St Dwynwen was a 5th-century princess and the daughter of King Brychan Brycheiniog. She fell in love with a man named Maelon Dafodrill, but her father arranged a marriage for her. Dwynwen fled to the woods and prayed to God for help. God gave her three wishes, and she devoted her life to God's service in thanks
